HAMR (Haul Any Material Rapidly) is a platform that works similar to how Uber does, but for the trucking industry. They specialize in moving bulk products. They are competitively priced for moving aggregates, bulk soil, mulches, stone, asphalt, as well as items related to building supplies, lumber, and plumbing supplies etc. From performing odd jobs (such as dump runs), they also move anything from building supplies to small packages for commercial contractors and residential customers. The company has been in the bulk materials business for over 28 years and provide a full range of vehicles from compact cars to much larger dump trucks and tractor-trailers. They are headquartered in Connecticut, and services many areas of the United States.
HAMR is a basic optimized transport logistics application that aids the customers to book trucks and cars on a rental basis and allows movements of goods across one city in one click. With HAMR, customers can easily transfer the shipment across a city by posting a request for load transfer with all specifications. Then this request is sent automatically to the nearest truck and car drivers. Whoever accepts the requests first, is allotted the deal. Besides, once the booking is made, both the driver and the customer can track each other’s location in real-time. Payments are made once the HAMR driver is successfully delivered to a destination.
The client felt that sparing time to find the truck and car drivers or the organization providing such service is quite tedious in today’s busy world. So, he wanted to develop a native Android and iOS interface that can connect online customers to the truck and car drivers. The application to be built required to be consistent with the branding as well as the usability of the existing apps that HAMR had. We made sure to include features such as On-Demand Support, Transparent Pricing, GPS Tracking, Advanced Booking, Streamlined Vehicle Selection, Online Payment Transactions, Live Tracking between Drivers and Customers, Scalable and Sustainable Architecture.
Some of the other features we added/refined was the ability for easy communication between drivers and shippers, anable convenient booking and immediate shipment transfer, drivers get directly paid without any intervention, competitive prices with no bargaining and compromise in the quality, customized logistics services for businesses.
